The previous item showed several problems i had with updating FreeBSD 6.1 to the current stable version. Well, i've found out what I did wrong. I missed one step in the whole process.

It seems that if you want to do this, you first have to update to the current 6.1 version, which is newer than the CD-version. You can find a sort of howto in the handbook. I used the cvsup tool to update my sources.

I first used the /usr/share/examples/cvsup/stable-supfile and used *default release=cvs tag=RELENG_6_1 and took the whole make buildworld; make buildkernel; make installworld tour.
After that I changed the line to *default release=cvs tag=RELENG_6 and rebuild the whole system again. This seemed to work without any problems. Online desktop
